Kelly Applegate is the wildlife biologist for The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians. He has pretty much single-handedly organized the Purple Martin Working Group where members gather to share information and organize programs to promote interest in purple martins such as "Martin Fests," "Roost Watches," and the construction of martin houses on public lands.
